Professional Rocket League athlete adds to stacked class for the Bears

WACO, Texas – Baylor esports signed professional Rocket League player Andrew “Andy” Nolan to the program’s 2025-26 recruiting class, esports director and coach Adam Stanley announced Monday.
Nolan, who is currently playing professionally for the Deleted Gaming organization, has totaled over $52,000 in career winnings over 77 tournaments since going pro in 2019, participating in multiple Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) events. His teams took home titles in 2023’s The Draw, 2021’s ASTRONAUTS Star Circuit finals, Knights Bash events in 2020 and 2022 and most recently in the 2025 Quantum Esports Series finals.
“Bringing Andrew into our Rocket League program is a monumental move for us — not just because of his mechanical skill, but because of who he is as a competitor and a person,” Stanley said. “His decision-making under pressure is elite, and he’s the kind of leader that makes everyone around him better. The respect he’s earned across the Rocket League community speaks volumes toward his character and abilities. He’s the kind of person you build an entire program around. We're lucky to have him as a foundational member of our program.”
A dynamic member of top-tier North American Rocket League teams, Nolan’s decision making and read of the game allows him to mesh quickly and effectively with teammates regardless of their play style.
Joining the Bears from Sun Prairie, Wisc., Nolan has attended Madison College in Madison, Wisc.
Nolan will pursue his undergraduate degree in accounting at Baylor and joins fellow pro gamer, Colby “hockser” James, on the inaugural Baylor Esports Rocket League competition team.
Baylor Esports was formally established in 2025 with the hiring of Adam Stanley as the program’s first director and coach. For the inaugural 2025-2026 season, Baylor is sponsoring a three-person Rocket League team, with the final spot on the roster to be announced soon.
Baylor Esports adds to a longstanding gaming culture within the campus community, joining Oso Esports, Baylor’s gaming club that was established in 2017. Baylor Esports will explore partnering with Oso as a development academy — similar to professional soccer academies — to train and elevate student-athletes for future competition rosters in expanded gaming competitions.
Baylor continues to evaluate offers from several leading esports conferences and associations. The competition schedule is expected to run for eight weeks in the fall and eight weeks in the spring, with the full competition schedule to be announced later.
